About Managemate
Built by someone who has sat at the board table
Managemate was started by a former condo director to give management teams and boards one record of the work at each property, and it’s now used by several management companies and close to 200 condominium corporations.
A note from our founder
In 2015, while I was practising as a technology lawyer, I joined the board of my condo in Toronto. I served for six years, three of them as secretary.
Our board worked hard, but the information we needed was rarely in front of us when we needed it. Documents were spread across email and shared folders, projects moved slowly, and our management team spent too much of its time finding and resending what had already been shared. Meanwhile, our fees kept rising.
After I left the board, I spoke with owners, board members and managers at other properties, and heard the same story. With a background in computer engineering as well as law, I set out to build the tool I wished we’d had: one place where the work at a property is recorded once, and where the people responsible for it can see it without having to ask.
I still lead our sales, onboarding and training myself, because the best ideas for Managemate continue to come from the managers and board members who use it.

Where Managemate is used today
Managemate works inside the operations of several management companies and close to 200 condominium corporations across three Canadian provinces, plus one in Mexico.
Who you’ll work with
When you work with Managemate, you work directly with the people who build and support it. Salim leads onboarding and training himself, a specialist brings in and organizes your records, and the same people who design and develop Managemate build its improvements with the companies we serve.
We work with each management company to fit Managemate to the way it already works, from its report format and terminology to how it works with the systems it uses.
Part of the condo community
Managemate is an associate member of the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario (ACMO), and a business partner member of both the Canadian Condominium Institute’s Toronto and Area Chapter (CCI Toronto) and CAI Canada. Salim is a mentor in ACMO’s mentorship program, volunteers on CCI Toronto’s membership and CondoSTRENGTH committees and on CCI National’s events committee, and serves on CAI Canada’s advocacy committee.
Salim writes and speaks on how boards and management teams can use technology well, with articles in Condo Voice magazine and CondoBusiness, including pieces on team-based management and on why every condo industry organization needs an AI policy.
What we stand by
Our mission is to streamline operations between condominium boards and their managers, so that condominium living improves in quality and becomes more affordable. These commitments are how we hold ourselves to it.
The record belongs to the property
The record stays with the property through changes of board and manager. If a property changes management companies, the board can ask to keep its account under its own subscription, and the records remain the corporation’s confidential information.

Every board member and manager can reach our support team through the chat in Managemate, use the Help Center, and be trained in a group or one on one, all included.

Managers, assistants, administrators and board members share one record of the work, so it doesn’t depend on any one person’s inbox or memory.

Our prices are published on our Pricing page, and subscriptions are month to month, with no long-term contract.
